The Vision 2020: Youth Empowerment & Restoration Initiative cordially invites you to its 9th Vision 2020: Career Counseling, Industry Awareness & Youth Empowerment Workshop coming up on the 12th of November, 2009 at the National Centre for Women Development, Abuja.
The one-day event with the theme: "Our Youth, Our Future", will include a Science and Technology Exhibition and a Career Workshop. The brightest Mathematics, Science, Technology and Engineering students from schools, universities and polytechnics within Abuja will be in attendance.
The Vision 2020: Youth Empowerment & Restoration Initiative, is a Career Counseling and Awareness Initiative, which commenced in May 2006. It is aimed at addressing some of the problems in our society such as the deteriorating educational standard and poor value system. The Initiative is keen to engage the support of Nigerian Content, Human Resources Development, Sustainable Development and Public Affairs Departments of organizations with a commitment to capacity, capability and competence development.
At our events, film shows on Science and Technology biased vocational and professional careers are shown, presentations on youth empowerment are delivered and we also disseminate mathematical charts, Oil and Gas Career handbooks (Technical and Non-Technical), Graph books, Text books, Posters, Mathematical sets and other educational materials. Our intent is to encourage youths to work harder in their mathematics, science and technology biased courses as well as identify creative and innovative youths who will become the strategic thinkers and planners of a better Nigeria.
